It takes a village

Every year, tens of thousands of people attend the annual Flower Mart, held on the first Friday and Saturday of May.

We will accept donations for the 2027 sale starting May 15th, 2026.

And every year, hundreds of volunteers work countless hours to make Flower Mart a success. Our group of White Elephant volunteers works throughout the year gathering, preparing, pricing, and managing the annual sale.

White Elephant donations will be accepted throughout the year. We will start taking donations on May 15th for the 2027 sale. Call or text Sarah - 202-365-0056 to arrange a home pick-up or cathedral close drop-off. See below for what we accept. Please note, we do not accept books, furniture, appliances, clothing, children's toys, bed linens, curtains, personal care, or food items.

Dates for our 2027 donation drop-offs on the Cathedral Close will be announced later this year.

All proceeds from the White Elephant sale go towards the maintenance and upkeep of the National Cathedral gardens and grounds. Our committee greatly appreciates the generous outpouring of donations from the greater Washington D.C. area. We couldn't do it without your continued support.
